Know When a Credit Licence Changes
MonitorHQ checks ASIC's credit licensee and credit representative registers for each entity you monitor, and alerts you to a credit licence being added, suspended, reinstated or ending, and a credit representative appointment starting or ending. Included on every plan.
> Credit licence suspended on the register
> Credit licence reinstated
> Credit licence no longer listed
> Appointment as credit representative ended
Why It Matters
A credit licence can change without a call
The register records it. Nobody has to tell you.
A broker or lender is suspended mid-relationship
You deal with a broker, aggregator or lender because they hold a credit licence. If it is suspended, the entity may keep trading while your file says it was licensed.
A licence ends and the entity is no longer listed
A credit licence is cancelled or surrendered. The change is on the register long before it reaches your records.
A credit representative loses the appointment
A credit representative acts under a licensee's licence. When the appointment ends, the authority behind the work you are relying on ends with it.
A suspension is lifted and nobody tells you
A suspended licence is reinstated. If you paused a relationship over the suspension, you want to know it has moved.
What We Monitor
Three signals, one entity page
The credit licences and representative appointments listed against the entity are shown on its page
Licence listed or ended
A credit licence appearing against the entity, or the entity no longer being listed as a credit licensee.
Suspended and reinstated
A credit licence moving between approved and suspended on the register, recorded with the change.
Credit representatives
Appointments of the entity as a credit representative starting or ending.
Honest Limits
What it does not do
Know the edges before you rely on it
Only entries matched to your entity
It covers register entries that carry the entity's ABN or ACN. Entries recorded without either identifier, or under a different entity, are not matched, and it does not match on name. Many credit representatives are individuals with no ABN or ACN on the register.
Register snapshots, refreshed about weekly
ASIC publishes these registers as files that are refreshed about weekly, so a change can reach you days after it happens. It is not a live feed.
What the register lists, not conduct
Alerts report the licence status the register shows. They say nothing about conduct, enforcement action, complaints or whether a licensee is suitable, and they are general information, not legal advice.
A second check, not a licence check
It backs up your own onboarding and review process. It does not verify a licensee for a particular purpose.
Common Questions
Straight answers
What is credit licence monitoring?
Credit licence monitoring means keeping watch on the credit licence register for changes to an entity's licence, so a suspension, a reinstatement or a licence ending does not go unnoticed. MonitorHQ does this for every entity you monitor, using ASIC's published credit licensee and credit representative registers.
What is a credit representative?
A credit representative is a person or company authorised by a credit licensee to engage in credit activities on the licensee's behalf. MonitorHQ shows when an entity you monitor is listed as one and alerts you when the appointment starts or ends.
How are licences matched to an entity?
By the ABN or ACN recorded against the register entry. An entry recorded without either identifier, or under a different entity, will not be matched. It does not match on name.
How quickly will I hear about a change?
ASIC publishes these registers as files that are refreshed about weekly. MonitorHQ checks for a new file daily and alerts you quickly once one shows a change, so an alert can lag the change itself by days.
Does it tell me about complaints or enforcement action?
No. It reports what the register lists and the licence status shown. It is not a conduct, complaints or enforcement check.
Does it cost extra or count towards my entity limit?
No. Licence and registration monitoring is included on every plan at no extra cost and does not count towards entity limits. This page is general information, not legal advice.
