Contract to Settlement, Keep the Entity in View
When the vendor or purchaser is a company or a trustee, you are relying on who that entity is and who controls it. Between exchange and settlement those details can change. MonitorHQ monitors the entities on your files and alerts you to ASIC and ABN changes quickly, so you can raise them while there is still time to act.
What Goes Unnoticed
The changes nobody tells you about
Purchaser company changes before settlement
The directors or registered office of a company purchaser change after contract. The person you verified is no longer the person in control.
Vendor entity deregistered or struck off
A company vendor is deregistered or has its status change while the sale is in progress. That is a problem you want to know about early.
Trustee company details shift
A corporate trustee changes address or officeholders, or its ABN status changes. Your identity and authority checks no longer match the register.
Fraudulent director appointments
An unexpected director appointment or address change on a company party can be a warning sign of registration fraud. An alert gives you a reason to pause and verify.
How It Fits Your Work
One profile per entity, watched continuously
ABN, ACN and business name monitoring in one place, plus PPSR for ACN, ARBN and ARSN-registered entities
Add parties when you open the file
Create a profile for the vendor, purchaser or trustee entity at intake. Monitoring then runs without any further effort from you.
Short, targeted monitoring windows
Monitor an entity while a file is open and stop when it settles, so you only watch what is live.
Record for the file
Each detected change is logged with old and new values and a date. That gives you a note for the file, and supports ongoing CDD records under Tranche 2.

Questions Conveyancers Ask
Straight answers
We only act on a few company parties a month. Is it worth it?
Cost scales with the entities you monitor, so a low volume stays small. Many conveyancers add an entity at intake and stop monitoring at settlement.
Does it replace identity verification?
No. It does not verify people or documents. It watches public register changes on the entity so you know when something you relied on has moved.
Does it cover individual purchasers?
Individuals are not registered entities, so there is nothing to monitor unless they hold an ABN. ABN and business-name monitoring apply to sole traders and trusts with an ABN. PPSR monitoring applies only to ACN, ARBN and ARSN entities.
Is this connected to AML/CTF Tranche 2?
The Tranche 2 reforms extend AML/CTF obligations, including ongoing customer due diligence, to certain services provided by professions such as conveyancers and real estate. MonitorHQ helps support that by surfacing entity changes, but it does not set or satisfy your program.
